一篇Design Guidelines(設計準則)的誕生?
不論是Google的Material Design 還是Apple的Human Interface Guidelines,都給了設計師一把圭臬,讓設計師在浩瀚無垠的設計邊界裡,可以站在一定的基礎上做設計,就像是聖經似的存在。
然而當自己要開始寫第一篇Design Guidelines的時候,卻不知從何開始寫起,也沒有太多的文章再交代如何從0–1寫一篇Design Guideline。看了一些設計師的經驗分享,發現一個Guideline的誕生,會根據產品性質還有團隊運作模式而不盡相同。想藉由這篇文章,整理自己之前寫的一篇Design Guideline的過程,及參考的文章。
一、Design Guideline是什麼?跟Design Principle有什麼不一樣?
這部分,我將引用 Interaction Design Foundation 分別對他們的解釋,搭配上ios Human Interface Guidelines (以下簡稱 ios HIG)來說明:
Design principles are widely applicable laws, guidelines, biases and design considerations which designers apply with discretion. Professionals from many disciplines — e.g., behavioral science, sociology, physics and ergonomics — provided the foundation for design principles via their accumulated knowledge and experience. _ Interaction Design Foundation
意指 Design principles 是通用於各領域跟各種產品的大原則,舉 ios HIG 的例子來說:Aesthetic Integrity, Consistency, Direct Manipulation, Feedback, Metaphors, User Control 等六大點。這些 principles 會影響到人類想用產品的意圖跟慾望,所以在設計的時候不能為反這幾條原則,以確保帶給用戶的經驗是愉悅的。
